 Pedorthics is
the design, manufacture, modification of pedorthic
devices, to prevent or alleviate foot problems caused by disease,
congenital defect, overuse or injury. A credentialed pedorthist is an
individual who has studied foot anatomy and pathology, biomechanics,
shoe construction and modification, foot orthosis fabrication and
materials, footwear fitting and patient/practice management.

ABC or BOC Pre-Certification in only 5-Days Away From Home/Office Pro-Learn is accredited by NCOPE to provide Levels 1, 2 and 3 of pedorthic pre-certification coursework required by ABC and BOC to become eligible to apply and sit for board examination. Candidates for BOC pedorthist certification can attain the BOC Pedorthist credential through successful completion of Levels 1, 2 and 3 of a CAPE approved pre-certification pedorthic program, passing the BOC Pedorthic Board Examination and completion of 1000 hours of clinical experience.
