meet 8 am to 5 pm, M-F and must be completed before proceeding to Level

| Diabetic Foot Assessment | During this module, the student will learn step by step procedures for performing foot, ankle and lower extremity assessments on the diabetic foot. These include: Basic Range of Motion, Quantitative Sensory Testing, Vascular Assessment and Integumentary System assessment. Video. Lab. Quiz. | |
| Diabetic Foot Orthosis Fab | During this module, the student will learn step by step procedures for fabricating total contact custom diabetic orthotics. This includes impression taking techniques, foam impression modifications, plaster mold modifications, assembly, grinding techniques, and finishing. Video. Lab. Quiz. | |
| Functional Foot Assessment | During this module, the student will learn step by step procedures for performing foot, ankle and lower extremity assessments. These include: Range of Motion, Quantitative Sensory Testing, Muscle Strength Testing, Limb Length Discrepancy, Vascular Assessment and Integumentary System assessment. Video. Lab. Quiz. | |
| Biomechanics & Gait |
During this module, the student will analyze gait as it relates to foot and leg function including normal and pathological gait. The student will be able to identify biomechanical abnormalities in all phases and components of gait by using video analysis methods. Lab. Quiz. |

| Foot Pathomechanics | During this module, the student will explore foot pathomechanics in a question and answer format including Definition, Alternate Names, Etiology (Cause), Epidemiology (Incidence), Symptoms and Effects on gait, Orthotic Solutions, Shoe Solutions and Shoe Modifications. | Functional Foot Orthosis Fab | During this module, the student will learn step by step procedures for fabricating functional orthotics. This includes casting techniques, functional plaster mold modifications, assembly, grinding techniques, and finishing. Video. Lab. Quiz. | |
| Shoe Modification | During this module, the student will learn step by step procedures for modifying shoes including elevations, wedges, met bars, buttress / stabilizers, various rocker soles and sewing techniques. Video. Lab. Quiz. | |
